A simple headband is a great hair accessory to have around. They’re relatively cheap to buy, they come in a variety of styles and sizes, and they’re super versatile. In fact, you can use a headband to simply keep your hair out of your face during a workout or even to dress up a more put-together hairstyle. We’ve even got some incredibly simple yet absolutely adorable hairstyles with headbands.
Easy Headband Wrap
A headband wrap is a cute way to keep your hair out of your face, and the style itself is classy and stylish enough to wear for a night out! To achieve this style, all you’ll need is an elastic headband (any style or thickness will do), some quality hairspray, and maybe a few bobby pins.
Start by placing the headband over your hair, then gather your hair into your hands as if you were about to put it in a ponytail. Then, instead of putting it in a ponytail, roll your hair through the headband and continue rolling until you reach your desired look. Hold in place with hairspray and bobby pins as needed.
Low Chignon With Headband
Another adorable and easy style to achieve with a headband is a classic chignon finished with a stylish headband. To pull off a chignon, you’ll just need to pull your hair into a low ponytail using a small elastic. Then, flip the bottom of the ponytail up and through the center of the ponytail itself. Continue wrapping your hair through the ponytail, then secure with pins and hairspray. Top with a stylish headband for a polished look.
Half Tucked and Covered
This style is similar to the “easy headband wrap” mentioned above. However, instead of tucking all your hair under the headband, you only tuck and roll the top half of your hair into an elastic headband. You can then curl or otherwise style the remaining hair for an absolutely adorable look. Keep in mind that you may need to use bobby pins to hold the headband in place around the center of your head.
Across the Forehead
If you’re going for a more bohemian look, it doesn’t get easier than this one. Simply pick out a stylish elastic headband and wear it over the hair and slightly across the forehead. This style looks great with some loose, beachy waves or even big curls, and you can mix and match headbands to coordinate with your outfits. It really doesn’t get any easier than this hairstyle.
Braided Chignon With Headband
For a fun take on the traditional chignon with headband, consider incorporating a couple of small braids into your chignon. You can do this by sectioning your hair and creating two braids on either side, then pulling these braids into your ponytail before creating the chignon. Then, you can top the whole thing off with a cute headband. People will think you spent hours on your hair, but pulling off this style takes just a few minutes of your time and minimal effort.
As you can see, there are all kinds of great and easy hairstyles with headbands to choose from. Whether you’re going for a classy and polished look or something a little more casual, one of these is sure to fit the bill. Be sure to experiment with these the next time you want to try something new!
